About Us
RDA is a federation of over 400 member groups each of which is a separate volunteer led charity. 50 of those groups are in the East; one of RDA's largest regions. The region comprises of 6 counties; Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
We do not receive any government funding and both the groups and the region fundraise in order to provide opportunities for disabled people to have fun whilst achieving their goals and experiencing the therapy which our amazing ponies give.
The East Region groups provide riding, carriage driving, vaulting and ground based activities for approximately 2,500 disabled adults and children. 3 of our groups offer hippotherapy with a specialist physiotherapist.

A dedicated, trained team of about 1,800 volunteers carry out activities in the groups. Volunteer East Region team members liaise directly with National Office and support groups and participants.

Regional competitions are organised which are open to riders and drivers from all groups and volunteer training days are run in the counties as well as in the region.
